In 1962 Viv was working at McKoys farm near Holbrook when he had an accident, he was clearing tree stumps out of the ground using a steel rope that was attached to a tractor, the rope slipped off the stump causing major injuries, he died later that evening in the Wagga Base Hospital, Viv is buried in the Leeton cemetery. he was 28 years old. Viv married Jean, their children were Phillip, Eddy and Darrel. |

Death | August 10, 1991 (aged 48 years) Address: Geoffrey Roy Brown was born in Culcairn in 1943, Geoff worked for the
Culcairn Council he was the caretaker for the Culcairn Caravan Park, he
worked there for many years, Geoff never married, for most of his life he
suffered from epalepsie and Asthma. His mother Mary Ellen Brown nee
Babington also worked there, booking in customers, cleaning out the
facilities etc. Mary and Geoff lived in the house at the Park. Geoff was a
great gardener, he established a beautiful garden around their home in the
Park, there were masses of flowers (of the non perfume type) and shrubs.
Geoffrey died on the 10th August 1991 in his home at Culcairn, from a
severe asthma attack, he was 47 years old. Geoff is buried in the Culcairn
cemetery. Geoff was a kind and gentle soul, not once in my life did I hear
him raise his voice in anger. Geoff's mother Mary Brown retired from the
Caravan Park after the death of her son, at this stage in Mary's life she
was 80 years old. Mary moved into a small flat in Culcairn for a few years
before moving in with her daughter and son in law Shirley and Harold
Farrelly at Camperdown in Victoria. Not long before her death Mary moved
into the Merindah Lodge in Camperdown |
