The death has occurred at Wagga of Mr Samuel Angel, one of the oldest residents of the district and a member of one of the earliest pioneering families of Australia. His father, Mr Henry Angel, was a member of the Hume and Hovell expedition that in 1824 crossed the Murray from New South Wales into Victoria.
