"Unforunately, the history behind the photo is unknown, ie why they were gathering or where or when. Sophia looks about 20, give or take, perhaps making the timeframe about 1905ish. At least two of the chaps have flowers in their lapels and marriages took place around that time, give or take. Yes it is a bit annoying when photos dont have information attached.
"This photo has been enhanced by Jessica Rudd, another decendent of Mary. The names for those in the picture came on a piece of paper with the original photo. The original photo had what could be over exposure on the top left. Jess has been able to lift the faces Percy, Herbert and Joan. It is now possible to see the resemblance between Sophia and her mum Joan."
